Photo contest “Make it yours!” – heritage through your lens, is a competition opened by the foundation Cultural Heritage without Borders (CHwB) for the best photo or series of photos who are bringing to life the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina as an inexhaustible source of inspiration and life and promotes cultural freedom. Photo contest is being implemented as part of the “Make it yours!” project supported by the European Union.
A total of 20 best photos, selected by the Jury which will be consisted of prominent artists and activists for the protection of cultural heritage, will be used for the twelve-month media campaign of project “Make it yours!” , and presented at the exhibition in Sarajevo at the end of the project.

The period for submissions will last four weeks from 24th June to 14th July 2014. until 17:00 pm.
Prizes for the best photographs are:
First place – 300 KM
Second place – 200 KM
Third place – 100 KM

European Union finances this project in the amount of 238.736 EUR as part of the programme “Sarajevo 2014” for the marking of the hundred years from the beginning of WWI, with the aim to spread the message of peace, reconciliation and solidarity from Sarajevo to the whole world.
Implementation partners in the project are: The Bosniac Institute – Adil Zulfikarpasic Foundation and US Alumni Association in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This project has begun on June 2014 and is scheduled to end in May 2015.
