As one of the jury members, CHwB has paticipated in the selection process for the best design of the student pavilion, planned to be built at the International Burch university in Sarajevo. Students have developed the architectural solutions for the student pavilion that will be built out of 80 percent of different recycled materials.
On this project, CHwB is, together with the French Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Faculty of Forestry and Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Sarajevo, The Association “Green Council“, one of the partners to the International Burch university.
The conceptual design for this project was created by the students of the International Burch university. The pavilion will serve as a new gathering space for students, as well as a space for presentations, exhibitions and other social events.
When selecting the best idea, the Jury composed of experts in the field of protection of cultural heritage, architecture, art and culture took into consideration the following: originality of the proposed concept, ability to respond to the demands of the project brief, feasibility of the realization of the project using alternative materials and energy efficiency.
The construction of the student pavilion would start in October 2015, while the public action for the collection of the recycled materials would begin in mid-August 2015.
