Exploring Cultural Heritage in the Albanian Alps

Lapusha_childrenFour heritage ateliers were held in 2 wonderful places of Northern Albania:
Valbona and Lëpusha.

Cultural Heritage without Borders Albania (CHwB Albania) gave its contribution to the “Valbona and Lëpusha children and youth summer program” organized by the Balkan Peace Park Project (B3P), by calling the attention of the young generation to the care of their tangible and intangible cultural heritage and showing its relationship to their beautiful natural environment.

54 children of different ages, from 5 to 18 years old, learned together and had fun with two E KA KUSH E KA activities: “Xhubleta – The ancient dress of the beauty of the mountains” and the paper model “Babameto House”.

The overall aim of the B3P summer program is to teach young people in villages of the alps in Albania, Montenegro and Kosovo to manage their natural and cultural environment in the era of growing global tourism.
