“Tour de Culture Bosnia and Herzegovina”

In order to raise awareness of the common and rich cultural heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina, promotion of non-motorized transport and environment protection, the Foundation Cultural Heritage without Borders (CHwB) in cooperation with its partners is organizing the first “Tour de Culture” in this country.

“Tour de Culture” is a non-competitive and recreational cycling event, intended for all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The event will be implemented on the 24th of May 2015 in the area of Počitelj, Čapljina, Blagaj and Mostar.

Participants will visit sites of cultural and historical significance, and take part in a special program designed to promote, preserve and protect the heritage of all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In Blagaj, as part of this unique cycling event, will be held an exhibition of art works inspired by cultural heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Artists who want to exhibit their works during the “Tour de Culture Bosnia and Herzegovina” should apply at THIS LINK. Deadline for application is 15th May, 2015.

“Tour de Culture” is one of the activities of the project “Make it yours!”, funded by the European Union within the programme “Sarajevo 2014”. The “Sarajevo 2014” programme consists of a series of projects implemented on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the beginning of World War II and in order to send a message of peace, reconciliation and solidarity from Sarajevo. The goal of the project “Make it yours!” is to raise awareness of the importance of the common cultural heritage that belong to all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“Tour de Culture” is implemented by CHwB BiH in cooperation with the Association “Natura AS” and Tourist Agency “Visit Konjic” from Konjic; Cycling Association “MTBA”, Association “Herzegovina bike” and Association for Hiking, Mountain Biking and Rural Tourism “My Way” from Mostar, as well as the Association of Mountain Bikers “MTBA” from Sarajevo.
