The Foundation Cultural Heritage without Borders in Bosnia and Herzegovina has created a series of educational workshops and didactic materials for pre-school children to present the rich and diverse cultural heritage.
During this project, youngsters from the Sarajevo kindergartens acting as “explorers” will have an opportunity to dive into unexplored world of heritage in order to discover valuable cultural treasures.
The workshops and newly designed educational materials are the main parts of the project “Adventures of Junior Explorers”, which will be implemented in the period from December 2017 to April 2018.
The creative workshop are inclusive, and aim at children from 4 to 6 years of age. Young explorers will learn about our common tangible and intangible heritage through stories, drawing, dance and play.
Didactic materials “Fantasy Cubes”, “Heritage Alphabet” and “Stećko’s Adventures” will be produced during the project. The materials will be made in Braille and as tacticle pictures, tailored for children of different age and skills.
The project is implemented in partnership with the Association for education of children “Babblers”, Public instititution “Children of Sarajevo” and the National Museum of B&H.
The Federal Ministry of Education and Science is co-funding this project.
