Conservation and restoration of wall paintings in Ferhadija mosque in Sarajevo

Interior conservation and restoration of the wall paintings of Ferhadija Mosque and capacity building of local experts were undertook with an aim to restore this national monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Achieved results of the project:

  • Restored wall paintings and surface of the interior of mosque
  • Restored wall paintings and surface of porch
  • Increased and strengthened capacity in conservation/restoration practice of young professionals in Bosnia and Herzegovina
